The delicious dessert called black forest cake.

There are certain desserts, the taste of which remains with us for a long time and a memorable time. Though the dessert originated in Germany, several nations today have successfully made it a part of its dessert menu and have made certain modifications to it in order to make it more delicious. A typical black forest cake consists of several layers of chocolate cake, with whipped cream and juicy cherries in each layer. In the United States again, the dessert is prepared without alcohol. The dessert is also often decorated with black cherries in order to ensure that the decoration goes in sync with the name.
Cookies are also often used for decoration as far as black forest cake is concerned. The recipe has changed depending on what the people of a different region like more. Moreover, a lot depends on the availability of fruits like cherries when it comes to decorating the cake. But ingredients like cocoa, white sugar, vanilla extract and milk are commonly found all over and hence are staple ingredients of the dessert. Whipping cream and chocolate is also widely available; hence those two are ingredients which make the cake delicious!
Black forest cake is widely used in a variety of occasions nowadays, especially weddings. The cake comes with so much of lovely and delicious ingredients like cream and chocolate, it becomes impossible not to make it a part of a glorious and happy occasion like a wedding. The cake is also frequently being used for birthdays since the happiness in the taste ought to be shared during a very happy day.
